Betty Ann Novak

Betty Ann Novak, Senior Buyer/Planner, age 73 of Montgomery, died Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11 am at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday, October 4 at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery and will continue Thursday morning one hour prior to Mass at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Montgomery.

Betty was born on February 11, 1944 in Lanesburg Township to Frank and Angela (Kadlec) Jakes. Betty is a 1961 graduate of Montgomery High School. Betty was united in marriage to Jerry Novak on September 15, 1962 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.

Betty worked at Munsingwear for 20 years, FSI as a Senior Buyer/Planer for 20+ years, and also bartended part-time for 20+ years. She was very active with the American Legion Auxiliary, Holy Redeemer C.C.W., and bridge club. She always attended her children's and grandchildren's various activities and ball games. She volunteered for many years for the church festival. Betty also loved playing cards, cooking, baking, and sewing.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jerry Novak of Montgomery; children, Gary (Tami) of Montgomery, and Ron (Lori) of River Falls, WI; grandchildren, Elly, Ellaina, Leah, and Alex; step-grandchildren, Chris, Ben, Alex, and Jennifer; sisters, Evelyn Bastyr of New Prague, and Marion Nelson of New Prague; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marcy Hadac, George Novak, Carolyn (Wilbert) Shimota, Francis "Fritz" (Joyce) Novak, and Mary Jane Vosejpka; and many other relatives, and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Richard Bastyr, Bob Nelson, Ann Fischer, Rose (Joe) Franek, Lawrence Novak, Ed Hadac, Francis Vosejpka, and Alice Novak.
