Daniel "Dan" Joseph Christian

DANIEL “DAN” JOSEPH CHRISTIAN, age 65, of Mankato, died suddenly of natural causes on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Born on October 3, 1959, in St. Paul, he was the son of Harry and Fran (Schoenbauer) Christian. Dan attended St. Mary Catholic School in Le Center and was a 1978 graduate of Le Center High School. Dan continued his education at Willmar Technical College where he received his electrical technician degree. Shortly after his schooling, Dan moved to Odessa, Texas and worked as an electrical power line technician for several years before moving to southern California where he continued his electrical technician trade. While in southern California, he was united in marriage to Nori Baisch and together made their home near Bakersfield, California where they started a family, welcoming their two beautiful children, Kelly and Charles. In 1993, Dan and Nori returned to Minnesota, making their home in Mankato while Dan worked around the Le Center Area.

Dan was a kind, gentle and generous man. He spent countless hours working on his cars and tending to his mother’s home and yard. Above all else, Dan loved visiting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Dan is survived by his children: Kelly (Phil) Yandall, and Charles (Meghan); grandchildren: Danica and Naomi Yandall, and Callum Christian; siblings: Doug (Diane), Paul (Karen), Colleen Knoll, Jeff (Tammie), Brad (Katy), and Brent (Angie); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harry and partner, Karen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Le Center. Private family burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center. Visitation will begin at 8:30 AM and continue until the time of the service at the church on Saturday.
