Diane Frances Dwyer

April 7, 1940 — May 11, 2026

Bloomington, Minnesota

Diane Frances Dwyer passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at Friendship Villages of Bloomington with her loving family at her side.

Born on April 7, 1940, in St Peter, Minnesota, she was the daughter of John and Bernice (Connor) Merry. She attended and graduated from McKinley High School in Le Center.

On October 26, 1963, she married John Dwyer in St. Thomas, Minnesota, where they began a devoted life together built on love, faith, and companionship. Early in her career, she worked at Peavey Elevators and Con-Agra, where she built many lasting friendships. However, she especially cherished her more than twenty years as a Mary Kay Consultant. Through her dedication, hard work, and passion for helping others, she rose to become a top-performing Independent Sales Director and proudly earned the coveted “trophy on wheels.”

In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to the theater, especially watching plays and attending concerts. She appreciated the entertainment, music, and time spent sharing those experiences with others. Together, Diane and John embraced a spirit of adventure as they traveled across the United States in their camper and explored remarkable destinations including Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. She was especially known for her wonderful culinary skills and the care she poured into every meal she prepared. Family and friends always looked forward to her famous “John’s French Silk Dessert,” a sweet treat that became one of her signature specialties. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, where she enjoyed friendship, laughter, and many memorable gatherings. A woman deeply rooted in her faith, she was a longtime member of Church of the Risen Savior and, more recently, Pax Christi, where she found strength, community, and spiritual connection.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John; sister, Carol Merry-Brown and her husband, Dale; along with extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean (Alan) Volkov; sister-in-law, Carol Foley; and brother-in-law, Eugene Dwyer.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date.
