Garry Kenneth Pribyl

Garry Pribyl of Montgomery passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 7, 2025, at his home at the age of 65.

Garry was born to Willard and Marcelline (Carpentier) Pribyl on March 3, 1960 in New Prague. He attended school in Montgomery and graduated from Montgomery-Lonsdale High School in 1978.

Garry grew up learning the Auto Body Shop trade from his dad and started helping out at his dad’s body shop at a young age, then worked there full-time after graduation. Garry also learned how to drive tractors and farm with his dad. He enjoyed both occupations and enjoyed teaching his nephews (and tried to teach the nieces) to also do auto body work and crop farming tasks and his nephews enjoyed spending time with and learning from Uncle Garry.

Garry is survived by his siblings, Susan Meyer, Michael Pribyl, Renee Pribyl and Steven Pribyl. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces and a great great niece. He will be greatly missed by all of them.

He was preceded in death by parents and brother-in-law Phil Meyer.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with a short memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM and a private family burial at the Bohemian National Cemetery.

In lieu of flower, memorials are encouraged to the charity of donor’s choice.
