Throughout his life Jerry worked various sales jobs, retiring from O’Riley’s in 2013. After only one year of retirement, Jerry began driving school bus for Palmer Bus Company. He was a member of the Montgomery American Legion and VFW as well as served for 23 years as a volunteer firefighter for the city of Montgomery. He was known by many for his iconic mustache and no one could slam a dice box like Jerry. Jerry enjoyed playing euchre, dice, and woodworking. Jerry was very proud of his 39 years of sobriety. He always looked forward to his trips up north, going on family vacations, but nothing gave him more joy than being with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
