Gisela M. Guttowski

GISELA MARGARET GUTTOWSKI, age 89 of Lantana, FL, died on the evening of Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at her son’s home in Montgomery, MN.

Gisela was born in Suttgart, Germany on December 26, 1935, to parents Otto and Louise (Kockendorffer) Schunter. She attended school in Germany before moving to the United States when she was twenty-one. In 1959 Gisela was married to Gunter Guttowski in Milwaukee. The pair worked together to manage properties for much of their lives, but in her heart she was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Marathana Bible Church in Lantana, FL.

Gisela is survived by her son, Hans Guttowski of Montgomery, MN; a step-sister to Hans, Nicola (Gary) Burkette of Versailles, KY; son-in-law, Gregory Peters of Montgomery; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one daughter, Monika Peters.

Services will be held at Palm Beach Memorial Park in Lantana, FL, at a later date.
