Glenn Michael Young

GLENN MICHAEL “MIKE” “MOJO” YOUNG, age 74 of Le Center passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Mike was born on November 14, 1950, in St. Peter, Minnesota, to Glenn and Angie (Hammet) Young. He graduated from Gaylord High School with the Class of 1968 and went on to continue his education at Mankato State University. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge in 1970.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Mike found joy in hunting and fishing. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Gaylord and valued time spent in nature and with those he loved. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his daughter and grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Mike was survived by his daughter, Nichole Young (Kelly Rucks) of Belle Plaine, MN; grandchildren, Annabelle Shaughnessy, Liam Shaughnessy, Blake Rucks, Jackson Rucks, Danielle Rucks, Seth Rucks; sister, Sally Gusso of Staples, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Centennial Plaza, 76 S. Lexington Avenue, Le Center, MN. Schoenbauer Funeral Homes is handling arrangements.
