Kenneth Robert Griffis

Kenneth Robert Griffis, age 71 of Le Center died on Sunday, after a short illness, January 31, 2021 at Mankato Mayo Hospital.

Kenneth was born on November 13, 1949 in Tipton, Iowa to Virgil Eugene (Venetta Lazetta Stiles) Griffis, Sr. He was a graduate of West Branch Community High School West Branch, Iowa. Kenneth served in the United States Army and was a truck driver for Western Specialized from July 16, 2014 until January 29, 2021. Kenneth was united in marriage to Debra (Tylee-Nost) on May 27, 2007 in Cedar County in Tipton, Iowa. Kenneth was a very strong person and loved his family, enjoyed his nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.

Kenneth is survived by his wife and soulmate, Debra Griffis; stepdaughters, Shanna Tylee and Kiersten (Steven) Bassett; 4 step-grandchildren, 1st wife, Inez Thomas; 2nd wife Susan Haslip and her children; siblings, Virgil (Pauline) Griffis, Ted (Jean) Griffis, David (Susan) Griffis, Ed (Mary Beth) Griffis, Becky (Rick) McCaslin, and Patty Long; brother-in-law, Ron Lashmit; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Lashmit.
