It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kristi Marie Wallskog, age 30, of Locust Grove, Georgia, on January 5, 2026.
Kristi was born on September 21, 1995, in Overland Park, Kansas, to Mark and Suzanne Wallskog of Prior Lake, Minnesota. She was the beloved sister of Kathryn, Jenna, and Shannon Wallskog.
Kristi was known for her kindness, creativity, and lively spirit. She brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her. A proud graduate of Prior Lake High School, Kristi pursued her dream at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. At just 17, she was living independently and attending college full time. She graduated in only 22 months with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business, an achievement that filled her and her family with pride.
Kristi’s passions were as diverse as her talents. She loved dancing, music, nature, hiking, cooking, flowers, and caring for her two beloved cats, Rudy and Harper. A gifted artist with a creative soul, she enjoyed making her own jewelry and candles. Kristi also ran her own small business as an in-home childcare provider, where she poured her heart into nurturing children and was deeply appreciated by the families she served.
In July of 2025, Kristi moved to Locust Grove, Georgia, to work with a government-funded agency assisting children—a role that allowed her to share her compassion and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Kristi’s love was sincere and beautiful, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she brightened.
Kristi is survived by parents; sisters; grandmother: Gwen Wallskog of Le Center and Ginger Stadther of Willmar; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kristi was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Jerry Wallskog and Jim Stadther.
