Linda Mae (Hofschult) Steller, age 75 of New Prague, MN passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 6, 1951, she was the daughter of Donald and Helen (Luker) Hofschult. She attended Hopkins schools and after completing her education, entered the workforce as a computer technician, working for several different companies throughout her career.
On December 13, 1969, she married Gregory Steller at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Minnetonka, MN; the young man who patiently pursued her heart until he finally won her over. What began as his determined courtship blossomed into a lifetime of love and companionship.
Linda embraced life with a full heart, finding her greatest happiness in the moments shared with those she loved most. She treasured fishing trips with her children and the adventures she shared with her beloved husband, including traveling together on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles. For the past 15 years, Linda enjoyed the freedom of the open road even more, earning her own motorcycle license and riding her own bike. Her love for her family was also expressed through the meals she lovingly prepared, including her famous beef stroganoff, delicious ham dip, and mouthwatering turkey and gravy at the holidays.
Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether trying her luck at BINGO, getting lost in the pages of a good romance novel, or discovering hidden treasures and great bargains at garage sales. Music always held a special place in her heart, especially the songs of Eddie Rabbitt and Kenny Rogers' beloved "Lady." One special memory was having the opportunity to see Eddie Rabbitt perform live in concert, bringing her love of his music to life.
Linda had a heart full of love, not only for her family but for all creatures, great and small. She had a special gift for caring for animals in need, opening her heart and home to those who needed a little extra love. From a pet skunk and a ferret to birds, rabbits, and her cherished dogs, Linda found joy in nurturing and caring for each one, showing that her kindness knew no bounds.
Above all else, Linda's heart belonged to her family, who were truly the center of her world. She was her children's biggest supporter, standing proudly by their side through every adventure, whether on the playing field or as they explored the world around them. Her grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart, and there was little Grandma wouldn't do to make them smile. They will forever cherish memories of sweet treats shared with Grandma and her familiar, loving presence cheering them on from the sidelines of their sporting events. At the center of Linda's world was her beloved husband, the man who brought her love, comfort, and happiness. Her love for her family knew no limits. To Linda, family was everything, and the love she gave so freely will remain a lasting part of each of their lives.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Greg of 56 years; children, Lisa (Stacy) Wood, Jason Steller, and Brandy Steller; grandchildren, Amber Steller, Dylan Steller, Trinity Dunn, Raylan Pike, and Asher Dunn; great grandchildren, Dwayne, Alaycia, Aleah, Aurora, and Jasmine; sister-in-law, Janet Green; her beloved pups, Princess and Harley; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Loren, Dennis, and David; and brother-in-law, Bob Green.
A graveside service will be held on Monday October 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Czech National Cemetery in New Prague, MN.
