Raul "Lambas" Gerardo Guel, Jr.

RAUL GERARDO “LAMBAS” GUEL, JR, age 29 of Owatonna, formerly of Le Center, died as the result of a tragic automotive accident on February 1, 2026 while in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Raul was born in McAllen, Texas on January 21, 1997 to parents Raul Guel Sr. and Jacqueline Gonzalez. He attended school in Le Sueur before beginning his working life following the footsteps of his father in union concrete construction. His girlfriend, Diana Villarreal has two children, A.J. and Aiden, and Raul valued his time with them and helped to raise them as his own. He enjoyed collecting comic books, guns, swords, etc, and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center.

Raul is survived by both of his parents; a brother, Uriel Guel of Le Center; a sister, Jaileene Guel of Faribault; his paternal grandfather, Ignacio Guel; his paternal grandmother, Elisa Guel; his paternal aunt, Elisa C. Contreras; his maternal grandfather, Mauro Gonzalez; his step-mother, Martha Fernandez; two step-sisters, Karina Monreal of St. Peter and Catherine Fleming of St. Peter; and many cousins; nieces; nephews; and other special family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Felipa Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Le Center Chapel of Schoenbauer Funeral Home, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church.

A Spanish Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center. Interment with other family will take place at a later date in Texas.
