THOMAS “TOM” WILLIAM HOLICKY, age 75 of Le Center, died surrounded by his family on the evening of Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Carriage House Care Center in Le Center.

Born in Saint Peter on October 1, 1950, Tom was the son of Albert and Dorothy (Kolander) Holicky. He graduated from Le Center High School with the class of 1969 before serving his country with the United States Army for three years. Upon his honorable discharge, Tom returned to Minnesota and went to work at the foundry in Le Sueur. On August 14, 1976, Tom was united in marriage to Susan Hanks at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny. Three children were born to their union. Tom ended his working years employed with Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM), retiring in 2013. Tom loved all things outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, camper, and snowmobiler. He liked playing cards, following the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings, and visiting family and friends. More than anything, though, Tom loved being a dad and grandpa and attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities. He was a long-time member of the American Legion and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Tom is survived by is loving wife of nearly fifty years, Sue Holicky of Le Center; three children, Julie (Andy) Jindra of Cleveland, Kevin (Shannon) Holicky of Le Center, and Tara (Corey) Nusbaum of Le Center; eight grandchildren, Allison, Carson, Hank, Luke, Mitchell, Lydia, Gabby, and Grady; six siblings, Jim (Marilyn) Holicky of Le Center, Marie Holicky of Elysian, Janice Priem of Le Center, Bob (Zandy) Holicky of Kilkenny, Russ (Deb) Holicky of Kilkenny, and Peggy (Mark) Hecht of Elysian; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and his parents-in-law, Dennis and Rita Hanks.

Tom’s family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the loving staff of the Carriage House in Le Center and Moments Hospice in Mankato for the devoted care they provided to Tom.
