Zachary Thomas Morrow

ZACHARY THOMAS MORROW, age 34, of Madison Lake, lost his battle with cancer on the afternoon of Sunday, August 9, 2026 at his home with his wife by his side.

Born on March 3, 1992, in Madelia, he was the son of Frank Morrow and Gail Moon. Zach grew up in Lake Crystal where he attended school, graduating with the Class of 2012. He continued his education at South Central Community College in North Mankato, where he received his EMR training. In 2015, Zach met Amyber Stickley, and the two were united in marriage on October 21, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Together they made their home on Amyber’s family home near Madison Lake.

Zach held several jobs over the years before joining the Cabela’s team in the fishing department. Fishing was more than a hobby for Zach—it was a true joy. Zach’s true calling, however, was serving as a volunteer EMR, first with Eagle Lake and most recently in Le Center. He valued the opportunity to learn new skills, experience something different each day, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

In his youth, Zach was active in 4‑H, showing cattle and sheep and proudly bringing his Allis-Chalmers B tractor to the State Fair. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Zach’s passion was hunting alongside his dog, Belle, and spending time on the ice during the winter months. He participated in the Governor’s Pheasant Hunt for the past three years, volunteered at the annual youth hunt in Fairmont, and this past year was thrilled to harvest his first turkey. He was a devoted family man who cherished his relationships with those he loved, and he had a natural ability to talk to anyone.

Zach is survived by his wife, Amyber; mother, Gail Moon (Dean Anderson); father, Frank Morrow; siblings: Josh Riewe (fiancé Lisa), Bobbi Riewe, Dustin (Tiffany) Morrow, Jennifer Morrow, and Hailey Morrow; mother‑in‑law, Bonnie Stickley; brother‑in‑law, Devick Stickley (Amelia Swetkey); grandmother‑in‑law, Marlys Kopischke; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his father-in-law, Rick Stickley.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026 at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis‑Steffel‑Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Amyber Morrow to be later disbursed to various outdoor organizations.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Rev. Jason Wolter officiating. A luncheon for family and friends will follow.
